Here are the latest technical updates at Wikia! As usual, please note that we change hundreds of tiny details every week, so these are just the highlights.
As previously mentioned, we are in a trial period of releasing twice per week, on Tuesday and Thursday. The benefits of making this change are that updates get released faster, and individual releases are smaller and more manageable.
This week, we will be trialing posting two technical update posts - one on Monday, and one today.
As readers of the technical update blogs, we welcome your feedback as we move through this trial period.
New Features[]
We will be updating the way Wikia adapts to various screen sizes - you can read more about this on the staff blog post here: Layout Changes: Breakpoints and Typography
Major Bugs Fixed[]
- After Tuesday's email update, talk page edit notifications sometimes incorrectly linked the non-talk page version of the page. This is fixed.
Select Known Issues[]
- We're looking into an issue causing email notifications to be sent about a user's own edits to their user talk page. We're fairly sure you already know about your own edits.
