Technical Update: August 16, 2017

Here are the latest technical updates on FANDOM. Keep in mind that our system updates happen every Tuesday and Thursday - today's notes are for tomorrow's site update. Also note that we change hundreds of tiny details every week, so these are just the highlights.

Major Bug Fixes

• We will fix several issues that were affecting wikis with Semantic MediaWiki enabled, including Special:Images display issues, page deletion issues, and some Monobook problems.
• We will fix an issue where, on wikis with article comments disabled, blog comments were not being shown on the mobile layout.
• An issue that could cause errors on wikis using a shared image repository will be fixed.

Other Notable Changes

• We will be updating Semantic MediaWiki, used on a few wikis, to version 2.4.6.
• FANDOM's 'default' accounts will be switched from Wikia/WikiaBot and Fandom/FandomBot to FANDOM and FANDOMbot.
• We will be updating where Featured Videos and images are displayed in portable infoboxes on the mobile layout.
• As we no longer support the iPad app My Wikia, it has been removed from the iOS App Store.
