Kinraths were a species of giant arachnids that could be found in caves on the planets of Dantooine[1] and Kashyyyk. In addition to being venomous, they were also capable of spinning webs.[2] When describing Gherd, Mattis Banz made sure to ask Gherd was not a kinrath.[3] Kinrath eggs sometimes contained a type of kyber crystal known as a Dantari crystal.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Netcasters,[4] a Kashyyyk creature intended to appear in Star Wars: The Clone Wars[5] before making their debut in Star Wars: The Bad Batch, were inspired by the design of Kinraths, specifically how they appeared in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.[4]
