It began serialization on Square Enix's Gangan Comics Online service from August 4, 2011 and is published by Yen Press in North America. A 4-panel spin-off manga It's Not My Fault That My Friend Is Unpopular! (私の友達がモテないのはどう考えてもお前らが悪い。) began serialization in Gangan Joker from January 22, 2013 and ran until July 22, 2015 (producing 1 volume of 28 chapters). A television anime adaptation by Silver Link aired in Japan from July 9, 2013 and ran for 12 episodes to September 24, 2013

Plot[]

Being well-versed in the world of otome games, fifteen-year-old Tomoko Kuroki thinks she is popular. Upon entering high school, she discovers this is far from the truth as she winds up being an unsociable loner, and she is forced to take a long hard look at herself for the first time in years! This story follows Tomoko as she attempts to improve her social status as she progresses through high school.
